Short characteristics of the site:
An isolated hill of a basaltic body (nepheline basanite) forms a volcanic conduit exposed by selective erosion from the surrounding Cretaceous sediments (Upper Turonian, Coniacian: Teplice and Březno formations). A geomorphologically important locality.
