Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Active quarry. Outcrops of orthogneisses and amphibolites of the Kutná Hora Crystalline including pegmatite dykes. Upper Cenomanian and Lower Turonian Cretaceous sediments fill depressions. Cretaceous sequence starts with biodetrital limestones, continues with a conglomerate layers and ends up with marlstones and sandstones. Cretaceous sediments yielded rich fauna. Significant locality.
