Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Natural outcrop of well bedded dark grey limestones with common brachiopod coquina. Partly dolomitized. They belong to the Josefov Limestone Member of the Macocha Formation (Givetian, Middle Devonian). Limestones are intensively cleaved. Stratigraphically important locality, representing part of a Protected Landscape Area "Moravský kras - Moravian Karst".
