Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Road cut with outcrops of light grey Vilémovice Limestone (Macocha Formation, Frasnian, Upper Devonian). They pass upwards into multicoloured micritic Křtiny Limestone. Limestones of the Macocha and Líšeň formations (Upper Devonian) are overturned and thrusted over Březina and Rozstání formations of the Drahany lower Carboniferous. Stratigraphically important locality. This locality is situated in the Protected Landscape Area "Moravský kras - the Moravian Karst."
