Short characteristics of the site:
Abandoned quarry with dark grey Lažánky Limestone (Macocha Formtion). Some beds are rich in stromatoporoid fauna. This locality represents a stratotype of the Lažánky Limestone. There occur mainly biomicritic and micritic limestone types. The locality is a part of the Protected Landscape Area Moravský Kras - the Moravian Karst.
