Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Outcrops in a stream channel exposing Ráztoka Beds of the Soláň Formation (Upper Cretaceous) of the Rača Unit of the Magura flysch. Sediments are represented by sandstones rich in biotite. They are underlain by red beds (Cenomanian-Lower Senonian). Finds of a calcareous nannoplankton. Stratigraphically and paleontologically important locality.
