Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Abandoned quarry with an outcrop of a sill of olivine trachybasalt 5 m thick with typical columnar jointing. Surrounding sediments belong to the sandstone lithofacies of the Svodnice Formation of the Vlára Development of the Bílé Karpaty Unit. Stratigraphically and petrologically interesting locality.
