Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Abandoned quarry exposing two loess layers separated by a buried soil. This loess contains fauna of the Wurm Interglacial. Underlying bedrock consists of dolomitized Ernstbrunn Limestone with oncoidal a bioclastic limestones. Common karst features including caves. This locality is classified as a Natural Reserve in the Protected Landscape Area Pálava.
