Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Abandoned quarry with outcrops of a Ciezkowice Sandstone (Paleocene-Middle Eocene) of the Submenilitic Formation of the Silesian Unit. Typical occurrences of proximal turbidites and fluxoturbidites. Sandstones often display spheroidal weathering. Sedimentologically and stratigraphically significant site.
