Short characteristics of the site:
Old quarries and natural outcrops. Part of a Křemenice synclinal structure. In its core limestones of Zbirov and siliciclastics of Křemenice formations appear. Also type locality of Hodětín shales overlying Týnčany Formation (Silurian-Devonian). Stratigraphically and tectonically important locality.
