Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Abandoned quarry in quartzose rocks of the Bohemian Quartz Dyke. This structure forms a boundary between two tectonic units. The rock is of several generations, quartz is brecciated in places, sometimes contains lenses of crystalline minerals. Pinkish quartz colour is typical for this locality.
