Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Pits as traces of a medieval gold mining. Host rocks are formed of paragneisses with migmatites and interlayers of erlanes, hornblendic gneisses, leptynites and metaquartzites. Mineralogically interesting, also historical monument. This locality belongs to the Šumava Moldanubicum, it is classified as "Natural Reserve" of the "Protected Landscape Area Šumava".
