Short characteristics of the site:
Large abandoned quarry. It exposes medium-grained crystalline limestone with coarse-grained horizons. In the central parts of the quarry there is 40 m thick horizon of calcareous dolomite and aplite dyke. Also a dyke of lamprophyre and thin layer of biotitic paragneiss. Interesting association of rocks. The rocks are of Proterozoic age and belong to the series of Moldanubian metamorphic rocks.
