Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
A partially overgrown quarry in meta-andesites (8 × 5 × 3 m) exposing massive meta-andesite lavas and weakly metamorphosed volcaniclastic rocks. The rocks are grey-green to dark green and commonly show secondary minerals such as chlorite, epidote, albite, and carbonates. Relict breccias and hyaloclastites occur locally, with strong alteration of plagioclase to sericite, chlorite, and epidote-group minerals.
