Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Outcrops of fosiliferous algal sandy limesone, platy bedded in a smal gully near the villageg of Blučina.
Algal sandy limestones were deposited during Badenian (Miocene) in the Carpathian foredeep (Paratethys) as rgressive sequence of the shallow sea (Brzobohatý 2011).
