Short characteristics of the site:
Proximately 7 quarries are situated on the east side of the Beranov hill. Quarries were active between the years 1890–1925. Medium-grained muscovite-biotite granites of Mrákotín type were mined there. Granites are locally porphyric. Size of the feldspars is up to 2 cm. Granites were mainly used for rough and noble stonemasonry. Waste material were sometimes used as building and crushed stones.
