Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Large quarry, partly active. It exposes a section of the Moravice Beds, consisting of rhythmically deposited greywackes and siltstones. Coaser members of so called Bouma sequence prevail. Basal parts of rhythms contain quartz with schist fragments, and are overlain by finer grained laminated greywackes. The whole sequence belongs to the Jeseníky Culm (Lower Viséan age).
