Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
This locality is situated in the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. It is called "Dlouhý kámen - the Long Stone" and it represents a typical table mountain (can be called also "Mesa". Its whole body consists of the Middle and Upper Turonian sandstones. Because of its impressive size and shape is also called "the Titanic". Part of this elevation is separated from surrounding by high rocky walls. Both the "mountain" summit and slopes show numerous forms of rock weathering and disintegration. Described sandstones can be called "quadersandstones".
