Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
This locality consists of 9 km long rocky ridge with interesting morphological features. Local rocks have been affected by the Lužice Fault which caused sloping up to upturning of beds. The rocks have been later deformed by erosion and selective weatherig. Their stability was different because of local silicification and ferritization. Stratigraphicallly these sandstones belong to the Cenomanian. Their nearshore calcareous facies is worth of mentioning. Individual parts of the ridge are separated into morphological macro- and microforms.
