Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
The old abandoned shelf quarry exposing weathered Precambrian granodiorite. In one part of this quarry the oldest rocks of the Upper Moravian Vale are exposed. The rock represents two-mica granite up to granodiorite. In places it contains pegmatite nests and thin veins of aplite. The rocks is intensively weathered and could be used only as an aggregate for local purposes.
