Short characteristics of the site:
Fenland with a fen thickness of six metres, excavated for local use. Detailed pollen analyses and 14C study reconstructed a development of oppeat compositin through gyttja, sedge and reed peat. Fen lake was formed during the last Ice Age, when deposition of aeolian loess started to block a water outflow. This locality belongs to the Western Carpathians.
