Short characteristics of the site:
Abandoned quarry in tectonized middle Devonian limestones of the Moravian Karst. Sandstones accompanying the limestones are locally folded. Limestone cavities contain locally fossil terra rossa. This locality is situated in the Protected Landscape Area Moravský kras - the Moravian Karst.
