Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
The surroundings of ruins of the Blansek Castle are bulit of dark grey amphipora Lažánky Limestone Member of the Macocha Formation, Givetian of the Moravian Karst. Lower Miocene sands and gravels were found in the cave Pod hradem situated beneath the castle. This locality is classified as National Nature Reserve in the Protected Landscape Area Moravský kras - the Moravian Karst.
