Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Former coal mine at Vrbice settlement. Near the shaft opening there are graded coal mine spoils where the Cenomanian sandstone fragments together with claystones with traces of coal seams can be found. It is known that the shaft was 54 m deep and so it reached the crystalline basement of Cretaceous deposits. In twenties of the 20th century unsuccessful reopening of this mine was realized.
