Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
This locality is called Vojšovská stráž (the Volšov Guard) and is represented by an outcrop of banded biotite migmatite with garnet. Main minerals are as follows: Quartz, plagioklase, potassium feldspar and biotite. They are accompanied by cordierite sillimanite and garnet. The accessories are represented by rutile, monazite, zircon.
Regionally this locality belongs to the Moldanubicum and its Šumava Mts.
