Short characteristics of the site:
Group of five rocky cliffs as much as 20 m high on a steep slope, overlooking the road connecting Petrovice with Hartmanice settlements. These rocks belong to the Monotonous Group of Moldanubian Šumava Mts.
The cropping out rock is classified as porphyric medium-grained amphibole-biotite granodiorite. Contact with surrounding migmatites and migmatitized paragneisses was tectonically affected.
The granodiorite consists of amphibole, biotite, potessium feldspar and plagioklase. The phenocrysts of potassium feldspar can be as much as 5 cm large.
