Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
This locality belongs to the Quaternary - the areas of continental glaciation of the Bohemian Massif. It is represented by old overgrown sandpit or loam pit. The sequence consisting of subglacial, deluvial and aeolian sediments is present. The lodgement till occurs on the base of this section. It is formed of gravely diamicton with layers of sand, Gravel fraction consists mainly of quartz together with some graphitic quartzite, amphibolite and feldspathic quartzite. This lodgment till is overlain by a layer of rippled sand. Glacial conditions ruled during the deposition of sediments of great part of this section.
