Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
The outcrop of tonalite metaporphyry vein. This rock is massive, resistant and so it forms conspicuous wall in the field. This rock is of granitoid appearance withouth macroscopic foliation. Its matrix is fine grained, consists mainly of plagioklase, biotite, clinozoisite-epidote and small quartz admixture. Also neomorphi garnet crystals were found. Except of this some plagioklase phenocrysts are present together with small amygdules filled by calcite. Geologically this locality belongs to the Teplá Crystalline and volcanics of the Cadomian age.
