Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
This locality is called "Schillerova vyhlídka - the Schiller´s Outlook". It occurs near the Chyše settlement and overlooks the Střela River. Narrow river flood plain is bordered by rocky cliffs of deep gray slaty phylites, rich in biotite. They contain numerous lenses as large as 20 cm across, fillled by quartz crystals. Surrounding rocks can be classified as metasiltstones and fine grained greywackes. All the sequence belongs to the Barrandian Neoproterozoic.
