Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Sandstone ridge of medium- to coarse-grained quartzose sandstone of the upper part of the Jizera Formation (Cretaceous, Turonian). Sandstones are locally cemented with iron compounds. Selective weathering around the cemented portions created a range of mesoforms like karren, pinnacles and mushroom rocks.
