Geology

Short characteristics of the site: This locality is typical with its quartz dyke, called also the Brno . Quartz Lode. This dyke was formed due to tectonic movements. It is about one kilometre long and splits into two branches. According to fluid inclusion analysis the origin of quartz dyke took place under temperatures between 170 and 300 degrees Centigrade. This locality belongs to the Brno Massif and its westermn granodiorite area.
