Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
This locality exposes erlans as mantle rocks of the Brno Massif. Carbonaceous-silica erlans pass into crystalline limestones and quartzites. The rocks are fine grained up to medium grained and their surface is modified by weathering processes. Banded parts display clear folding.
Erlans were formerly exploited for local purposes. This locality is clasified as "the metamorphic mantle of the Brno Massif".
