Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
This outcrop occurs in the road cut along Svratka River. It exposes about 20 cm thick layer of volcaniclastics within a sequence of fine grained sandstones of the Veverská Bitýška Formation (the Autunian). The volcaniclastic layer is fine grained and consists of quartz, clay minerals and chlorite. The accessories are represented mainly by zircon and apatite.
Fauna and flora are scarce. As to a sedimengary environments, deposition took place in a lacustrine environment.
