Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
The placer fields along the flood plain of the Blanice River. Gold panning took part there in several stages and ended smetimes during the 14th century. Nevertheless till now sme gold nuggets can be found in these river deposits. The provenance of placer gold is not exactly known up to the present day. However, it is clear that its fluvial transport was comparatively short. These localities belong to the Moldanubicum Zone of the Šumava Mts.
