Short characteristics of the site:
This locality belongs to the area of Tertiary volcanics of the České Středohoří area. In the abandoned quarry a hige diatreme is exposed, filled by an explosive breccia with basalt and Cretaceous sediments fragments, The whole body is transected by five independent dyke bodies of different petrologic composition. In these dykes xenoliths of crust and mantle provenance occur. This locality is recommended for additional research works.
