Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Complex of flat outcrops and distinct rocky ridge. The outcrops consist of fine grained melaphyre, which is partly massive, partly vesicular. The rocks are intensively weathered and crumbled. They are of Permian age and belong to the Krkonoše piedmont basin in the National Park Krkonoše.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif > Upper Carboniferous and Permian > Lugic Late Palaeozoicum (including Triassic deposits) > Basin under Krušné hory Mts.
