Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
This locality is of hydrogeological interest. The section of Cretaceous sediments consists of the Cenomanian sandstones, Lower Turonian sandy marlstones and fine grained sandstones and Middle Turonian silty marlstones. There are favourable conditions for the infiltration and migration of groundwatwer. Natural draining off groundwater is typical for this area. The locality belongs to the National Geopark "Železné hory - the Iron Mountains."
