Short characteristics of the site:
The abandoned quarry belongs to the Železné hory pluton. Here the magmatites are represented by fine grained quartz diorite. This solid stone was used for the construction of the Seč reservoir dam. This dam has been built in twenties and thirties of the last century. Some relics of dam construction works are still preserved. This locality belongs to the National Geopark "Železné hory - the Iron Mts."
