Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
This locality is represented by a stony field and small outcrops. It .occurs in the northern part of the Železné hory pluton. The rocks consist of Palaeozoic fine grained biotite granite with some muscovite. In surrounding forests blocks and boulders are disseminated. They are often rounded and accumulated in form of stone fields. That is why this locality is called "kamenné stádo - the Stony Herd". This stone accumulation is of periglacial origin. This locality belongs to the National Geopark "Železné hory - the Iron Mts."
