Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
This locality is represented by rocky outcrops of the quartzites with underlying and overĺying clayey schists and siltstones. According to fossil evidence these sediments are of Middle Ordovician age. On quartzite bedding planes nicely preserved ichnofossils were found. Tectonically, this area represents part of the Vápenný Podol syncline. This locality belongs to the National Geopark "Železné hory - the Iron Mts."
