Short characteristics of the site:
The active quarry Rácov exploiting two-mica granite (the Mrákotín Variety). This pluton is of composite type and contains enclaves of porphyric biotite granite, sharp edged blocks of migmatite from the Monotonous Group of the Moldanubicum, and discordant dykes of microdiorite and microgabbro composition. Also a xenolith of serpentinized peridotite was found. So, this locality gives record of magmatic processes. This locality belongs to the Central Massif of the Moldanubicum Zone.
