Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Permocarboniferous, Central Bophemia. Old abandoned quarry shows a sequence of coarse grained terrestric fluvial and deltaic sediments and overlying fine grained lacustrine deposits (Stephanian B age). Current beddng analysis allowed to reconstruct paleocurrent direction.
