Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Barrandian Neoproterozoic. Active quarry, now inactive. Outcrops of metabasalts with metatuffs and metatuffites, products of submarine extrusions. These rocks form a belt between granite plutons. They are dark, blackish-greenish, fine grained, massive with numerous veinlets with diopside and plagioclase. Locally accumulations of pyrrhotite are present.
