Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubicum, Šumava Mts. Large rocky outcrop formed by a body of migmatized paragneis cut by 3 km long and up to 20 m thick vein of a coarse porphyric diorite porphyry. This vein is the youngest hypabyssal rock on this map sheet. Nearby syenite porphyry forms only blocks and can be distinguished by more intensive radioactivity. Also crystalline limestone crops there in a small quarry as well as quartz lenses forming interlayers in a paragneiss. Radiometric and magnetometric studies were carried out at these localities.
