Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubicum, Šumava Mts. Outcrops of the mylonized two-mica orthogneiss in the SW part of the Královský Hvozd Unit. Peraluminous granite of Cadomian or Cambro-Ordovician age(approximately 500 Ma) served as a protolite of this orthogneiss. Granite deformation took possibly place during Variscan orogeny. Foliation is of deformational character and has been formed in low- up to mid-temperature realm.
