Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Lusatian Permocarboniferous. Žaltman Arkose of the Odolov Formation, Carboniferous. Section with arkoses alternating with conglomerates. Transition between the two rock types is often gradual. Conglomerates contain pebbles of variable composition, such as phyllites, lydites, greenschists, sometimes granitoids, amphibolites, andesites. Arkoses usually contain cement consisting of calcite and/or dolomite. Silica cement was also found. Sediments are multicoloured, colouring depends on intensity of weathering.
