Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubicum, Šumava Mts, Frost cliff exposing porphyric melanocratic hornblende-biotite granite up to syenite (durbachite). Great amount of mafic enclaves lying discordantly to magmatic foliation. Potassium feldspar and plagioclase phenocrysts are as large as 5 cm. Also quartz, hornblende and biotite are present. Example of brittle tectonics.
