Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubicum, Šumava Mts, Křišťanov granulite body. Rock formed of recrystallized felsitic granulite with intrusions of porphyric bornblende-biotite melanocratic syenite (durbachite). Tongue-like emplacement of durbachite magma can be observed. In granulite, younger metamorphic foliation S2 occurs.
