Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Krkonoše Piedmont Basin, Permian, Upper Rotliegend (Saxonian). Conglomerates of the Horní Město Beds of the Trutnov Formation. Pebbles are up to 40 cm in diameter, angular up to rounded. Rock cliff up to 100 m long and up to 15 m high. Conglomerate is of petromictic character, with matrix consisting of poorly-sorted clayey sandstone. Cross bedding with low-angle dip of bed sets is typical for some layers.
