Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Krkonoše-Jizera Crystalline Complex. Large active quarry. Pure crystalline dolomitic limestone is exploited. This rocks contains a little more than 45 p.c. of CaO and about 40 p.c. of MgO. It is multicoloured, contains veinlets of calcite in tensional cracks. In marginal parts contact of crystalline limestones with mica schists is visible.
